This method is quite simple. It was taught by Babaji.

You can do it two ways:

You recite this mantra 16 times if don't have a mala (to help you count)

Or you recite it 108 times with a mala.

The mantra is:

"Om Namah Shivaya"

Also written and pronounced Om Namah Shivai. It isaid to be the first words uttered by the Creative Source and is the oldest mantra.

It can be translated as I bow to/ surrender to/take refuge in Shiva. Lord Shiva is known as the Doer of Good.

This mantra is also interpreted to mean, I bow to whatever Good is happening and to Whomsoever is doing it.

Love,
Sylvie :)

Thanks Sylvie!
I remember Swami Muktannda describing this mantra as the "supreme" mantra of mantra's. I have used it over the years and it always brings calm and a sense of "greater connection". More recently Elizabeth Gilbert talks a bit about it in her wonderful book - Eat Pray Love - a book that reminds me of our beloved Margherita as the author spends four months in beautiful Rome!

Love,
Eric

I haven't introduced myself yet, and I must confess that part of the reason this post caught my attention is that it was posted on my birthday (May 29th). :D

But I immediately tried the meditation and was pleased and amazed to feel how it made my whole body vibrate.

Thanks so much for sharing it with us Sylvie.

Elizabeth
